The Ritz-Carlton Montreal has a way of making everything feel both grand and intimate at the same time — and Kim and Max’s wedding was exactly that.

Getting ready in the hotel suites, the light was soft and golden, perfect for the 35mm rolls I had loaded from the start. The ceremony in the ballroom was quiet and emotional. I stayed to the edges and let it unfold. The courtyard portraits at golden hour were some of my favourite frames of the year.

What I remember most about this day isn’t the grandeur of the venue — it’s Kim laughing during the vows, and Max’s face when the doors opened. That’s what the Ritz does: it holds all that elegance in the background so the people in the room can be the story.
