Drive ninety minutes east of Montreal and the city gives way to something quieter — rolling fields, old stone walls, the particular blue of the Eastern Townships sky. Manoir Davis lives inside all of that, and it makes for a completely different kind of wedding day.
Megan and Joe chose Manoir Davis because they wanted their guests to arrive somewhere, to feel like the day was a destination. It worked. The manor’s grounds created a natural stage for every moment: the ceremony under the open sky, the cocktail hour on the terrace, the dinner that stretched late into the evening because nobody wanted to leave.
I love photographing weddings outside Montreal for exactly this reason — the scale changes, the pace slows slightly, and the images take on a warmth that feels different from city work. Quebec’s countryside is breathtaking, and Manoir Davis uses it perfectly.
